First up in a series of paintings based on my own photographs taken in and around the greatest city in the work – New York. BREAKDANCE, 20 years in the making, is based on a photo taken in Times Square, in the winter of 1998. The image captures a breakdance crew dancing in the heart of time square with the spectators intently watching the breaker, mid air flare. The background is filled with the famous, ever-changing billboard facade located on Broadway between 45th and 46th street.
This black & white acrylic and colored pencil painting measures 28”x35”.
