About the Artist

Most are shocked to learn that the works of Adam Port are not photographs, but realistic hand painted works of art.  He brilliantly captures his subjects with incredible accuracy and style.  Adam creates original compositions, which enhance the artistry of his jaw dropping ability to depict likeness.  Using his strong eye for balance, arrangement and design, Adam produces captivating images.  His finite attention to detail, distinct creativity and unique concepts are what makes Adam Port’s art stand alone.Adam Port is a talented, self-taught, young artist from a suburb of New York City.
Adam’s artistic abilities were inspired at an early age by artists Chuck Close, Norman Rockwell and Illustrator Drew Struzan.  Their work has influenced Adam to develop a realistic style of his own.  He perfected his technique while attending Syracuse University’s prestigious School of Visual and Performing Arts, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art.
Each of Adam’s authentic hand painted works of art range in size from 10X16 to 40X60.  Adam generally paints on illustration board, using acrylic paint and colored pencil.  He works from photo reference as well as his imagination to develop original designs.
Adam has secured licensing agreements to promote his growth as an artist.  His strong portfolio has been inspired by his love for sports and entertainment.  In 2000, a New York Knicks photographer, who presented the artwork to a senior executive at NBA Photos, discovered Adam’s talent.  Shortly after, Adam signed a license agreement with the National Basketball Association.  In 2006, Adam signed a license agreement and became an “Official Artist” of Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc.
Adam Port has established himself as one of today’s premier sports and entertainment artists.  He has created one-of-a-kind works of art for many celebrities (high profile athletes, musicians, entertainers) and art collectors.  Some of his work can be found in the collections of Michael Jordan, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club, Ray Lewis and the Sacramento Kings.
